I am looking to learn Russian quite quickly, but I would prefer to learn it correctly than learn it badly. I am would like a book/online course/program that I can easily pick up and put down for about 10 minutes to 45 minutes a day.
I would also like to stay at home, so no actual in-person courses.

If there is not, is there an elementary school that would have a similar culture?
Also, I know there are language schools in LA, but would they be very useful if you were a child, but could already speak Russian?
(NOTE: I am asking this on behalf of my cousin who has lived in Russia for four years. She has a six year old son who was not born in Russia but can speak fluent Russian. My cousin cannot speak Russian as good, and does not want her son to forget the language. They may be moving to LA, but hope to move back to Moscow in a few years, and she doesn't want him to forget the language or culture.)

I just started studying Russian a couple months ago. I am moving along at a good clip and am wondering about the case system. I more-or-less understand the point of the cases and the role they play, but I'm wondering if I need to learn that right away, or if I should just focus on memorizing conversational situations for now. I am not trying to avoid learning the cases, I just want to know if they will confuse me if I learn them too early, while I am still trying to get a feel for the language.

Me and a few friends have recently started learning russian. One friend has sent a text to the rest of us and he's blatantly used popular phrases, so I'd like to text some back with a translation of the phrase in the title as a joke.
Thanks for the help!
Oh, also it'll have to be in english letters, God help my phone's predictive text if I dare venture into the Russian letters with it!

I'm in college and speak English and German. I want to throw a third language into the mix, either Russian or Czech. I have a great interest in studying in Prague, so Czech is the obvious answer on the surface. But I want my line of work to include traveling and speaking other languages, so in this case, Russian would be more useful. However, since I already know German, and German is spoken/dealt with in the Czech Republic, would learning Czech in addition to knowing English and German make me more marketable?
Thanks to anyone who tries to help.

I just woke from a dream where I was speaking Russian...
It started in San Diego. I was climbing down the side of a building to escape some people, then ran down the street. At some point I found myself walking snow streets in a Russian uniform. Someone on the phone and I were speaking Russian (i understood everything I and they said clearly, even when I woke)... It was a conversation about Soviet Russia and my mission.
Next thing I know.. I'm spotted by these Mexican soldiers in a car.. they pull their riffles on me, but I escape into the shadows.. Then take cover in a metal shed.. It seemed more like a make-shift break room for industrial workers.. There was coffee, a tv, some large machine blades and there were piles of scrap metal outside across from the other entrance.
I had a backpack with me.. Street clothes were in it so I changed quickly, to not be recognized and then i checked my gps to discover I'm now in Mexico.. I also noticed there was 4 hours left on my mission..
I ended up calling my bf (he's an actual marine) to come get me...
there were two specific names of GREAT importance in my dream.. one was russian and one was spanish... I can't quite recall them now.
I feel I should mention that I wasn't watching, thinking or listening to anything about Russia or Mexico before bed... the only thing that might have influenced my dream about was "Surviving the Cut" an episode on EOD training.. that was 2 hours before i went to bed though, and i watched comedy shows after it...
And... I don't speak Russian. I did try to learn it a while back but got distracted, I know one of the words I said in my dream which was hello... in russian. As for spanish, I can speak a little of it, and understand a little of it.. But the spanish in my dream wasn't on my level of speaking.. I only know basics..

For reasons I won't bore you with, I want to learn to speak & write Russian. Or whatever could be considered the most mainstream, and likely-to-endure-as-mainstream, language easily understood and spoken by a good majority of people in the former USSR nation states.
Not looking to take college classes right now or hire expensive tutor.
Of course I can google things.....and I get a zillion results for learning language, but what is the BEST way if anyone has some real experience - in a low cost way to begin learning Russian? Good websites / material / books from library - something I can handle and won't get too overwhelmed doing a little each day?
currently, I am fluent in english and spanish.

I'm Asian-American with a Chinese look. I've heard lately about increasing racism in Russia against those of non-white background, mainly non-Slavs. I would really like to learn Russian and perhaps visit Russia one day, but the talks of attacks make me nervous. Suggestions?

I've asked many, many different people, but I want to be absolutely sure! I plan on getting the phrase "Glamorous Life" tattooed, but in Russian. I am pretty sure the translation is "Гламурная жизнь" But confirming with as many people as I can could never hurt
Thanks!

I came to America a couple of years ago for school, and since i speak English in the social outside setting, my Russian is becoming worse. I speak Russian at home and with friends, but i notice that i am forgetting simple Russian words and sometimes put English Grammer in Russian grammer. How could i stop my Russian from worsening, and how could i imporove my Russian Vocabulary and grammer?

If you live in the West, how do you crackdown on your kids speaking too much English at home? I know my parents forbid the use of the English language in the house, I don't know if I should go that extreme...?
