Russian is very different from the languages you know. It is not easy to learn Russian. You might ask how to pronounce some common phrases you want to use and try to communicate the girl that way.
For your beginning:
привет (prEEvet) = hello
пока (pakA) = bye
спасибо (spasEEba) = thank you
пожалуйста (pazhAloosta) = please (also used as "you’re welcome")
дай (daj) = give it (to me)
на (na) = take it
брат (brart) = brother
друг (droogh) = friend
я (ja) = me
ты (ti) = you
он (on) = he
хорошо (kharashO) = good
плохо (plOkha) = bad
красиво (krasEEva) = nice
шутка (shOOtka) = a joke
Try this website. Congratulations on your brother’s marriage and your desire to learn your sister-in-law’s language.
well, there’s no "belarus russian", but a belarusian language which is separate and very much different from russian. ok, but as far as russian is concerned, here’s a nice site http://www.ruslang.com/
learning russian is a challenging job. Good Luck!
