I think this cake is called grafskiye razvalini, or ruins of count's castle. My Russian boyfriend talks about it, and I would like to make it for him as a surprise. I just can't find this recipe anywhere! Can anybody here help?

I actually have this recipe at home and make it now and then (I am russian)
Like already said above, its made of individual small meringues. Each one is individually dipped in cream and stacked on a plate. Inbetween each layer, you put lemon zest (you can use the juice as well) and sprinkle each layer with a mixture of powdered sugar and cocoa.
Keep doing this on every layer as well as the very top.
Thats all there is to it! The meringues take several hours to bake though at a very low temperature.
If you want the exact recipe I can get it for you if you choose me as the best answer:)
Well, I looked on the web and was able to find the recipe for you…in French. =/ Hopefully you can interpret it (link below)! From the looks of it, the cake is actually made up of individual meringues. These are held together by whipped heavy cream, and then drizzled with dark chocolate.
Sounds yummy (and messy)! Happy baking!
