Does anyone like and want to learn Russian?

I was surprised to read on some forum dedicated to Russian as foreign language talks about how ppl want to learn it, how beautiful it is. I think it's a challenge cause Russian is or thought to be one of the hardest languages.

I love learning foreign languages. I’ve always thought that Russian was a beautiful language, and I’ve just recently (within the past few months) become very interested in learning it, but I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to study it yet, because I hear that the grammar and pronunciation are extremely difficult. I don’t mind a challenge or anything, but I speak English and Spanish fluently and I’m studying Chinese in college (as well as a few others on my own), and I feel that maybe it would be a waste of time to take on a language that’s so hard and takes so long to learn when I could learn French, Portuguese, Italian, German, or any other related language to the ones I know in a third of the time, especially since my wanting to learn Russian just comes from thinking that it’s beautiful and liking the people (I have made quite a few Russian friends at school, and they rock!), and not from plans to go to or do business in Russia. Who knows, maybe when I’ve grown tired of Latin, Germanic, and Asian languages, I’ll want to go full force into a challenge of a great language like Russian!
yupp, especially the writing. but it is a beautiful language, yes.
It has the greatest literature. And the lyrics to Russian songs are extraordinary.

I took two Russian courses in high school, but soon forgot what I had learned because there was no one to practice with.
