Does the Chinese President speak Russian, also is the US president only one who is not bilingual?
I was watching a news clip of the Chinese president being spoken to in Russian by someone but couldn't see if there was an interpreter. Does anyone know if he speaks Russian?
Also, is the US President the only one in the world who is not fluent in a second language?
calm down Ben I never said he's required to know more than one. RE-read my question.

Even politicians who speak something of a 2nd language tend to use an interpreter since the risk of a mis-understanding is too great. Using an interpreter also adds a layer of ‘that’s not quite what I meant’ deniability.
I very much doubt the US president is the only Head of State who doesn’t speak a 2nd language….. and anyway unless you are fluent in many languages. say English, French, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, German etc. You’d still need interpreters.
First of all Barack obama is not the only president that only knows one language. Besides hes the president of the United States of America so his only job requirement when it comes to language is to be fluent in english.
