two different languages…
grammar is similar while vocabulary is not…
You should know that already – Russian and Ukranian are so close (only Byelorussian is closer) they are almost like dialects of each other and mutually understandable to native speakers of either, roughly the way Spanish and Portuguese are.
I’ve studied Russian for a few years with teachers who also know Ukranian, and there are Russian and Ukrainian communities here in San Diego. Reading Ukranian is even easier than listening to it; the differences in writing are very minor.
PS: You mean to say "which I do."
Consider is just another language, although both languages are of Slavic origin, they are different.
