How do I write “Happy Birthday” in German and Russian?
My friend's birthday is coming up and he studies English, Russian and German so I figured I'd write Happy Birthday in those 3 languages on his card.
Obviously, the English isn't a problem but how do you write "Happy Birthday" in German and Russian? Please don't give me any insults in hope that I'll include them in the card! Thanks!

you might wanna google that just just to be on the safe side

German
- Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag
Literally: Hearty congratulation to the birthday
- Alles Gute zum Geburtstag
Literally: Everything good to the birthday
(or the short form "Alles Gute")
When I translate "Happy Birthday", it’s "Glücklicher Geburtstag". No one says so though. But no one would ever say "Everything good", would they? =P
In german:
1. Zum Geburtstag viel glück
2. Alles gute zum geburtstag
3. Herzlichen glückwunsch zum geburtstag
those are three ways to say it
Russian: С Днём Рождения [S dniom rozh-die-nii-yah]
German: Alles gute zum geburtstag [Ales gute tsum ge-buurrts-tag]
Hope I helped :]
I don’t speak Russian, but in German you can say:
"Alles Gute zum Geburtstag"
"Zum Geburtstag viel Glück"
"Alles Gute zum Purtzeltag"
