Like I have Ukrainian Friends who speak Russian, and I was wondering that when they went to school, how it worked.
Is there schools for Russian speaking kids?
Or is there certain classrooms for Russian speakers?
Any other info would be great.
thanks!

Well, I don’t really have any info on it. But a friend of my sister’s lives in Ukraine and went to school there; she speaks Russian. There aren’t any "special" schools for Russian-speaking kids. Besides, Russian and Ukrainian are very similar languages, and speakers of both languages usually understand each other pretty good (unless it’s me – I speak Russian, though I live in America – and an old Ukrainian lady who babbles too fast). Anyway, once you’ve been around Ukrainians for awhile (a few weeks or more), it becomes a lot easier; you start learning some of their different words (it’s mostly very similar, with some different words here and there), and even if you don’t notice, you yourself will start talking their language (with all their funky word variations). My Mainly Russian-speaking brother went to live with a Ukrainian family for a few months, and while he could always understand the, he didn’t speak Ukrainian, but after a few months, he got to know their different words, and he could probably spout rapid Ukrainian with the best of them now. I don’t think your Russian speaking friends in Ukraine have much to worry about.
