There are a couple letter which have a slight different sound from English and some others that we don’t have in English at all. But it doesn’t take long to master them. I’m pretty sure you won’t have any problems.
In Russian we really have some letters which can confuse a learner, like ы, ц, щ but every language has such specific sounds. English has th, French…well for Russian speaker all the sounds are strange in this language of Love. But I do not think that speaking Russian is hard. Even if you have a most terrible accent, we will understand you.
The hardest part about pronouncing Russian как носитель языка is not being able to pronounce the consonants correctly (щ, ы, ц, ь, ъ), but being able to pronounce the vowels correctly (а, и, ю, и.т.д).
Yes, some sounds are hard, but if you read more orally and take attention on stresses, you will reach your goal.
you can try to learn Russian here: http://www.livemocha.com there are also a lot of native speakers who can help you.
