I think the Russian language is hardest, what do you think?
I've been wondering this for years, Polish is easy, but Russian takes tongue and throat work. Chinese is tonal, writing system is difficult, the pronunciation though is somewhat easy, but thats my opinion. Do you agree that Russian is the hardest language. I'm asking those who have experiences with languages or regular people who think they can answer this question.

It’s not harder then any other language. Just learn some rules and practice.
But the main thing is if u will be able to SPEAK and UNDERSTAND Russian, bec this language is really changeable, like a wind, so many variants of each word. I think it is the main problem of Russian,
But if u have a real goal, so… Impossible is nothing, right? Bec all the languages are rather difficult at first;))
besiro is most difficult every verb is irregular
It’s quite different from English, as is Chinese, but my understanding is that Gaelic is among the most difficult to learn.
Personally, being a 1st generation Irish/Italian American, I didn’t have too much trouble learning Gaelic…although the Welsh language (with its bizarre spelling) is an absolute mystery to me.
I have been studying Japanese for a few years now (although I am still awful at it), and I would have to say that it is very strange for Americans. I mean, several types of script…particles…sentence structure…cultural idiosyncrasies…etc.
Russian looks like it could be fun after you get the Cyrillic stuff down.
The Arabic languages look amazingly difficult to me…in my ignorance.
I think that Russian has a great soft sound. Grammar is not easy but I’ve studied latin for years (and is very similar) and I’m Italian so I used to talk using irregolar verbs.
Mandarin is definitely tough,it depends on the tone and there’s like a million characters or something(it seems like a million..am chinese btw..) the pronounication is not easy..ask a caucasian and some of them can’t tell the difference between the 4 sounds..
Afrikaans is pretty tough as well and personally french..cause it usually isn’t pronounced the way its spelt.
I don’t know about Russian but it looks pretty tough..all those symbols..gees..seems like old chinese characters to me.If caucasians could learn to read, write, speak mandarin/chinese..russian language is definitely do-able.
Well, personally I don’t have any problem about the Russian language, and I’ve been learning it for almost a year now. If I should say what my problem about the language were (at the time I started), I have to say the grammar… but I’m fine with it now, ’cause right now it really flows for me
Right now I’m still learning Russian and Greek – however I (as always) understand more than I can speak ;p

I am glad Polish language is easy for you. –> Polska mowa jest naj naj
Russian is not so hard to learn …
It’s not an easy question. It depends on personal skills, apart from other things.
Have you tried Czech? There are seven cases, lots of irregularities, the famous /ř/ sound that doesn’t occur in any other language…
I have learned Sanskrit – a beautiful language with eight cases, written in the devanagari script. It’s not easy, but it depends on your preferences, as well as the particular part of grammar you are learning.
Mandarin – cool. The most difficult thing, I think, is to learn the script. Once you have learned the tones, there are only about 400 syllables. Not difficult from the articulatory perspective.
French – that’s not an easy language. Irregular orthography, rather big number of vowels of various qualities…
You can try some Nakh-Daghestanian, Abkhazo-Adyghean, or, say, Wakashan languages – large phoneme inventories, consonant clusters of incredible length.
It really depends on the criteria you choose. "Difficult language" is nothing absolute, I suppose.
try learning some of the languages of the cauacus region such as chechen and mingrelian. some of these languages are known to exhibit no vowels.
Russian grammar is difficult to master but easy to use when mastered (obviously). The grammar is the only ‘difficulty’ that I could see coming. Pronunciation in any language has always been a cake walk for me.
I think yhe hardest part for those who learn it is pronouncation and grammar, but if you really want you can easily master it))
Really? Does Russian really take tongue and throat work?!! Never mentioned it; I’m Russian, even in school, when I was studying English, teachers told us that we should learn to use our throat, not only tongue and lips, to speak English
