I joined this online language-learning community when I first tried to teach myself basic Russian. They have basic lessons on the grammar and such as well. I made some Russian friends on it too – and I’m Asian. There are options for you to live-chat over the internet with native speakers, so you can actually practice speaking the language.
If you really want to learn to speak Russian, then you shouldn’t give up. I’m pretty sure that Russians don’t care so much about race and colour than they do about your personality and character.
take online courses.. or buy some russian learning CDs
oh yea… Zille M, stop showing off, k…….
maybe a nearby community college may have a class on how to speak russian
People are People, your color has nothing to do with anything. Learn it because it’s a beautiful language and something you’d like to do….learning anything opens doors for all of us in all kinds of places.

Here is a good place to start online: http://www.ilike2learn.com/ilike2learn/russian/

I wish I had black friends.

Forgive me, please.
But I have remember at once one poem.
Were I a N_egro
and getting old,
even then,
not cast down or lazy,
I’d learn Russian
only because
it spoke Vladimir Lenin
by Vladimir Mayakovsky (1927)
Да будь я и негром преклонных годов и то, без унынья и лени,
я русский бы выучил только за то, что им разговаривал Ленин.
Once again forgive me. I did not wish you to offend.
Your color has nothing to do with anything.
You know, what ancestors of the most well-known Russian poet Alexander Pushkiny were Ethiopians?
