Is it Russian or rushin' when they talk about the Russian river?

I only hear this phrase, I've never read it so I'm wondering.

or
"Jack yearned for the summer of 1909, in which he had embraced his true love, Lena, on the banks of that magnificent Russian river."
It’s rushing. With a "g".
It means the the water in the river flows quickly.
Rushing. Unless said river is actually in Russia. Then it might be both
