Learning to speak Russian…how difficult?

   I can’t answer that exactly, but the more languages you speak the easier it is to learn new ones.
   My suggestion is to try Rosetta Stone. It’s a wonderful computer language program and it works quickly!

   it really depends…every individual is different, especially when it comes to languages. to just master the basics of russian, it takes at least 2 weeks. it can be more or less…but i can guide you to master it in a easier way.

   first, of course, u’ll have to a hang of the alphabets. after that, you start memorizing the cases. there are 6 cases in total. it’s really different from english grammar wise. for example:

   i’m going to the zoo.

   i’m approaching the desk.

   these 2 sentences have different structure grammartically.

   so as long as you understand the 6 cases, you are fine.

   then comes the verbs. and next the vocabularies.

   these….well, if you speak and practise constantly for at least 6 months(very hardworkingly), it shouldn’t be a problem.

   but when it comes to working, you’ll have your own special terms for each fields. that’s the hardest part. in my opinion anyway. if you have a really good foundation of your grammar, then you are quite safe. from here, all you have to do is memorize all the specific terms for your working field.

   constant practise. that’s very important.

   the rest, well, learning is forever. you learn something new everyday. so experience all the best
