McCain is a military minded leader as such why now all the talk of diplomacy for the Russian invasion?

Just because John McCain has military experience doesn’t mean that he wants war all the time. Aside from picking his battles, I’m sure he wants to show that he is different from Bush, and supports diplomacy.
Send What Troops? Some Moron has already Stretched our Troops Too Far. There are None left to send! McCain knows this and is Probably Hoping " W" Shuts Up!
As much as I hate the guy, and know hes a little girl drinking her tea, he at least knows how to pick his battles; he knows Russia isnt gonna go down easy, thats all I’ll give him.
ok first of all iraq isn’t even that big of a war, only money-wise it is.
Iraq isn’t even holding a quarter of our troops, we will have enough to defea russia and besides we have NATO
I hope you are the first in line to enlist. Right now we’d have a tough time assembling a brigade together let alone the equipment and support services for them. There is a time and a place to flex your muscle. This is neither.
Georgia attacked the tiny republic of South Ossetia. Russia stopped the bloodshed. The South Ossetians were never a part of Georgia. After the fall of the USSR, they fought against Georgia to remain free and signed a treaty with Georgia in 1992.
The US news has been distorting the facts for some reason but finally Bloomberg News has published a fairly accurate account. (google it)
The UN is partially at fault again since they did not listen to Russia’s pleas to stop the Georgian attacks on 8-7-8…The georgians attacked the day after the UN meeting. The US was the one to deny the UN intervention.

Of course it will be a politcal solution…the US can’t spin their way out out of this one. Too many journalists were in the country before Russia went in. I think they thought Russia would not do anything and would be able to spin it at will.
But please review the facts and make up your own mind. The South Ossetians were saved and are alive to testify because Russia got there fast. There were quite a few Americans there also and they say the same things…YouTube etc.
