If there are no community classes in your area, check out some options to learn Russian language online. You can meet with the Russian teacher via Skype when you hear, see and talk with the teacher. This way it is the same as in-person classes, but you learn from the convenience of your home or office. I recommend Prime Language Services: http://www.primelanguageservices.com They also offer the first Russian class for free with no obligation, so you can meet with the teacher and get a recommendation for free.

I'm on the same boat as you! I tried looking into programs like Rosetta Stone and stuff, but they're waaaaaay over my budget lol. Believe it or not, there are actually a ton of videos on youtube. You have rely mostly on memorization (which I know isn't the best learning method...) but I guess it's better than nothing, right? I'm mostly concerned with learning to speak Russian, so I haven't really been focusing on the reading or writing. I'm sure that there are other websites out there though. I'm hoping someone else will able to help us :D

Some helpful videos:

^ Make flashcards for this one. Watch it a billion times and then quiz yourself with the flashcards. It sticks after a while lol.
