Can any of you native Russians or Ukrainian tell what "Tak" means? I was ordering in a restaurant in Moscow and the waiter kept on saying "Tak". Was he saying "Uh huh" or "Okay"? And by the way, could you guys some Russian lessons? Thanks:)

In Ukrainian, "tak" = "yes", but it was Russian, and there are LOTS of meanings!
"Tak, tak, tak" = "Well, well, well"
}:
"Tak" = "so", "in this way", "thus", "I see", "like this" etc.
I will not enumerate different combinations, it would be too long. The waiter was saying *something like this* {*tak*
"I see" "Okay" "Checked" "I got it"
Nearly "da" – yes
"Tak" means something between "so" and "well", that’s sort of an interjection. It do means "uh-huh" in this case.
