Should I learn to speak German or Russian first?

I'm 14. I want to learn German cause it's where my mom's from, and Russian cause of my dad. I can only speak English though. Which would be easier to learn first?

German would definitely be easier to learn first…but Russian is really cool! so whichever one. Personally, I would learn Russian first, so if your up for a challenge go for it.
German is easier and more closely related to English
Yeah as the other person said German is easyier to learn because some words are similar to those in english.
i think u should start with German, it’s a little easier.
Russian, of course! It’s more difficult – but that’s the point. When you’re young it’s much easier to learn a language than when you’re older. So for you to study Russian now is easier than some years later.
