I used to have a really good source, but I can't find it anymore! The names don't have to be just Chinese or Russian, I'm talking like a huge database with gazillions of different names. 8D
Sil vous plait et merci!
I'm not sure if my question is clear. You know those websites that have tons of names from all different countries, cultures, etc. and their meanings? I hope that explains it better =/

I have always wondered if there is a place to chat with people from other countries not talking about places like myspace and such websites. I have always been interested in learning about other cultures Russian and Ukrainian more so than others if anyone could give me a link or some advice that would be nice.

I work in a diverse office atmosphere. We have an array of cultures we serve as clientele. So it is only normal to have workers who speak different languages. There is one specific cultural group (russian) who speak their language in the office. In my unit The manager, professional staff, and office staff speak Russian to eachother when discussing clients. I am asking is this the norm nowadays because everyone is so PC or should there be an office policy. I know at lunch and break time it's ok, but I don't know if it is my place of work or this happens more across the U.S. This is not a complaint, I really don't know if this is ok in different places of work.

just curious
there are some new russian girls at the place i work who just moved from moscow, and they speak pretty good english, but i just think russian is pretty cool.
i love learning about other cultures
and i would love the travel the world and see all of the places, it's just fascinating!
anyways, just curious, anyone speak russian?
da? nyet?
how would i say
"how are you"
"i'm doing good, and you?"
and i don't know syrillic(i think that is their alphabet system) so if you could write the pronunciations , that would be amazing !

I can already speak 4 languages and i want to learn one more. I really want to learn either russian or portuguese. Portuguese is a really beautiful language and brazil and portugal are two very beautiful countries with lively cultures. I also know that portuguese would be a lot easier than russian. Russia is not as beautiful a country, but the russian culture is still fascinating as well as russian history and literature. Can you help me decide which language I should choose.
