Is there a website within the United States which sells Russian books? I am seeking a Russian-French dictionary - a BOOK, not software or translation websites - for friends from Moscow who are moving to Montreal. I do not speak Russian; could you also suggest the best dictionary. Serious and direct answers only, please.

From what I've heard, Russian language does not have dialects and variations even though it is spoken in vast areas.
1. Is it true that Russian accent is uniform almost everywhere?
Do people from Moscow and Vladibostok(Eastern part) have the same accent?
2. Do people from Former Soviet Union(such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine) speak Russian with the very same neutral accent?
3. German has many dialects and variations even if it is spoken only in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Providing #1 and #2 are true, how come Russian is so uniform in such a vast land?

I am conversing with a woman in Moscow. Before anyone cautions me about romance scams, such warnings are appreciated but unneeded. You would be preaching to the choir so to speak. I am one of the guys who work with http://www.scamdigger.com/ and there sister website http://www.romancescam.com/forum/portal.php to bust scam artists, but I need help someone here can provide (I hope) Simply put I need the following translated. My Russian to English translation program cannot translate this. ТРЕНЕР- ПРЕПОДОВАТЕЛЬ Thanks.

Do you really think your hair is too thick? Wake up! It's average at best and looks thin in some picures. It looks the same as girls have everywhere in Moscow and does not compare to girls around the world. Which girls are you hanging around to make you believe your hair is too thick? Hahaha
-----------------------
This is just an e-mail reply to my Russian friend who believes her hair is too thick and she hates it. I'd really appreciate a solid translation preferably from a native Russian speaker.
Thank you!

If there is not, is there an elementary school that would have a similar culture?
Also, I know there are language schools in LA, but would they be very useful if you were a child, but could already speak Russian?
(NOTE: I am asking this on behalf of my cousin who has lived in Russia for four years. She has a six year old son who was not born in Russia but can speak fluent Russian. My cousin cannot speak Russian as good, and does not want her son to forget the language. They may be moving to LA, but hope to move back to Moscow in a few years, and she doesn't want him to forget the language or culture.)

just curious
there are some new russian girls at the place i work who just moved from moscow, and they speak pretty good english, but i just think russian is pretty cool.
i love learning about other cultures
and i would love the travel the world and see all of the places, it's just fascinating!
anyways, just curious, anyone speak russian?
da? nyet?
how would i say
"how are you"
"i'm doing good, and you?"
and i don't know syrillic(i think that is their alphabet system) so if you could write the pronunciations , that would be amazing !

In summer, I plan to get a job and along with that I want to learn Russian as much as possible because I want to go to Chisinau or Moscow to visit my pen pals to celebrate my high school graduation. I really want to learn Russian because I really want to know them more. One of them doesn't speak English very well.
I'm thinking of a private language class. I'm still 17 years old in my third year of high school

Hi everyone! I am writing from a St. Petersburg internet cafe. I hope you are all well. I am very good, St. Petersburg is a great city. Today we go back to Moscow. It's been an amazing trip, and when we get back we will have a big party in my flat to celebrate my friend going home to Mexico. I miss you all and love you lots. Hannah xxx

Please only answer if you are fluent in Russian. No online translations.
1. Sports Camp of Moscow
2. Our philosophy is to create and sustain friendship, and to have fun with each other.
3. We have professional sport players to teach the campers.
4. We have state-of-the-art indoor facilities that allow the campers to play even when it rains.
Thank you.
