What is thebest place to start learning Russian?

i want to learn it, but it is not taught at my school nor going to russia is an option for me. so Do i need to train myself. i have 2 russian friends that i grew up with and they left me to russia. so i wanna speak it. What are my options?

I have some Russian friends who are pretty cool but when they all get together they begin speaking in another language. I told them that I don't like it when they continue to speak in russian but one just told me to relax. Finally today I got angry and said "This is the United States and we clearly speak english here. You are being disrespectful." And I walked away. But is it really disrespectful for them to do this. Did I over-react?

I love the Russian people and thier great country, but i need some Russian friends i can write too ,can anyone help pls?

Best way to learn Russian after losing it?

I moved from Russia when I was 5 years old and have kept it for years afterwards, but once high school started and I didn't have many Russian friends left to practice it with I began to forget it. Now I'm 18 and would like to improve my Russian, what do you think is the best way to do so?

Thanks,

Can you text in Russian Cyrillic on an iPhone?

I'm thinking of switching to an iPhone but I have a lot of Russian friends and would like to finally be able to text in Russian (Cyrillic). Is this possible on an iPhone? I mean an iPhone that I would purchase in America because that's where I live.

Are Czech and Russian the same language?

I want to start learning a language, I'm leaning towards Czech. I was wondering if Czech and Russian are the same ( or at least very close ) language wise. I've got a couple Russian friends, and I was wondering something. If I spoke Czechoslovakian to them, would they understand it?

How would I write my name in Russian?

I have lots of Russian friends on Facebook who like to sign their names in Russian when they write wall posts, and I'd like to be able to do the same. Does anyone know how to transliterate Chris Carroux into Russian? It'd be greatly appreciated!

My last name is French, so it would be pronounced "cuhroo" with an emphasis on the "oo" sound. Also, if you could include the transliteration for Christopher, then that would be great. Thanks!

I am half Russian and I have many Russian friends so I would love to learn it.
