My Russian is becoming worse?

I came to America a couple of years ago for school, and since i speak English in the social outside setting, my Russian is becoming worse. I speak Russian at home and with friends, but i notice that i am forgetting simple Russian words and sometimes put English Grammer in Russian grammer. How could i stop my Russian from worsening, and how could i imporove my Russian Vocabulary and grammer?

I'm trying to brush up on my Russian (which I studied years ago), and I can read my Cyrillic fine, but I never fully understood what this letter 'Ь' is for.

It shows up in a lot of Russian vocabulary and I don't know how to pronounce it! I usually end up ignoring it, but it becomes a difficulty in spelling Russian words out because I often forget the soft sign.

What purpose does this letter serve? :)

Russian vocabulary please?

Can you please give me a short list (or however long you want) of russian vocabulary like thank you, your welcome, bye, hi,colors, etc.
Oops forgot to say thank you :)

Thank you so much! :)

Improving Russian vocabulary?

I've noticed that my biggest problem with learning Russian has been my inability to remember vocabulary. I can remember (most of) the rules for which gender/case/tense gets what ending, but I spend far too much time looking up words in a dictionary.

Does anyone have any recommendations for effective ways to learn foreign language (particularly Russian) vocabulary? I'm well aware that there's no "shortcut" to learning a language, but maybe some of you have some useful suggestions!

Thanks a lot!
