I want a website that has the Russian word in English letters and that tells me what the word means. An example of what I'm talking about is this: how you pronounce I love you in Russian is "Ya tebya liubliu". Like that. Thank you for answering!!!

What is the russian word for snowfox?

I'm translating something and the word "snowfox" is used as e pseudo for one of the characters. Since there are is no snowfox in my country, we don't have a word for that, so I have to use two words. But that's not practical, since I'm talking about a person. I would like to use the Russian word instead, including an explanation about what it means, since it's a Russian (female) character.

okay, the russian word is салодка.

but when you make this into tea, at first, it's almost got a bitter taste, but it dissolves in your mouth and turns into a sweet, tender flavor.

????

Лошадь
Металлы
Волк
Нежить or Немертвый.

thank you for this answer, but now, how are they pronounced?
(not knowing Russian or the Russian alphabet, this is obviously spelled in Russian, but translated into English, are the words spelled in English [whatever Russian word "wolf" would be would be spelled "wolf"...or a messed up English spelling of "wolf"...like wulf or something like that?

Do you speak Russian?

I'm wondering what is the translation for a Russian word I heard in the X-Files movie. A Russian surgeon kept saying a word that sounded like "shipsee" or "shimsee." Anyone know what this means?

What is the Russian word for the Russian language?

By which I mean, if someone asks me which language I speak, I'll tell them, "English."

If I were to ask a German man what he speaks, he'd tell me "Deutsch." -- Not German.

A Spaniard would tell me "Español." -- Not Spanish.

So, if I were to ask a Russian which language they speak... what is their Russian word for <Russian language>.

I don't think that you can write it in Cyrillic here... but if you can, please don't, I can only read Latin characters.

Thanks much.

So, I just downloaded the first 50 pages of the new book based on t.A.T.u.
I downloaded the Russian version of it. It is 51 pages single spaced, font size 12, Times New Roman font. Single Sided. I know the Russian alphabet very well.
If I try to translate the cryrilic alphabet into the Latin alphabet, could it help me learn the Russian alphabet better without having to struggle to read a single Russian word?

I remember reading in one of the London free newspapers an article about words in one language that have no direct equivalent in another. There was a Russian word which expressed the residual love you feel for a lover of the past - can anyone tell me what this word is?

I am writing a book but have stumbled on a few technical difficulties. I need the word "Shadow" in Russian, but in English (Roman) pronunciation. My searches have just given me the literal Russian word, but I don't know how to say it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i found this explanation on the etymology of the word chernobyl.

http://encyclopedia.stateuniversity.com/pages/4322/Chernobyl.html

the reason i bring this up is because i often here end-timers talk about how chernobyl is the russian word for wormwood, which is mentioned in revelations 8:10-11. this would be interesting if the translation were true. however, i really can't find any source outside of end-times websites which make this assertion.

I don't want the actual Russian word for Unit, I want how you would spell it as if trying to teach a Russian how to pronounce the English word. What I came up with was Унит
