I'm learning Russian and am practicing translating English into Russian. However, I'm having trouble with some of the rules of pronunciation. I know that O stressed is a short O sound, and unstressed it is A. But when do I know when it is stressed or unstressed? As in the case of words such as Wolf- волк. Is is pronounced Volk, or Valk?
