What are some free/cheap/any programs that you can use to learn Russian fairly fast? (Around 100 hours?)?

I'm looking to learn Russian, and several languages. Not really fluently, just enough. I need to know some programs that would work well, traditional classes don't cut it for me, and they simply take too much time.

lol @ TGs reference. Funny.
I’m learning Russian at the minute – and let me tell you, you really need to commit to it – it’s VERY difficult. I started with a program called Linkword Languages – it’s fantastic at helping you link the Russian words with English ones to remember them better, although it doesn’t help with the alphabet really. I’ve also used a lot of books and the best one I find is called ‘New Penguin Russian’ by Nicholas Brown. Absolutely great.
Try the website in my sources for a demo of Linkword.
Good luck

You cannot learn any language in 100 hours. You can acquire certain words and phrases which would be helpful as a tourist. Berlitz (there are others) offers excellent compact booklets; they usually contain 2000 words and 1200 phrases with a brief pronunciation and grammar guide as well as hints helpful to tourists. Most any larger bookstore should have a Russian guide.
byki.com has some goood stuff.
