what would be the best way to learn russian?
i am very interested in becoming fluent in many languages.
i am only in high school , and have taken 5 levels of spanish, and 2 of french, however i have met some natives of russia and their culture and language really interests me, so i would like to learn russian, and later in college, german.
is there a particular program, book, anything that would be good to learn russian?
of course i could ask my russian co workers how to say certain phrases,or if i have specific questions, but i want to learn the language! how should i start?

BEST WAY IS TO TO SPEAK LEARN AS I EXPLAINED
WITH HUMAN INTERACTION AND CLASSES WHERE YOU CAN SPEAK. AND WRITE ETC.
Rosetta stone actually works pretty well, but the best way would be to go to Russia itself, however, practicing is always a good start.
I would suggest:
1)buy a russian-english dictionary
2)make flash cards of basic words and sayings ie; colours, animals, how do you do’s, etc.
3)try to find an electronic pen-pal, I have several from spain, france, romania, italy, costa rica, they can really help you learn their language, and they yours
4)never stop practicing. I’ve learned the hard way speaking to people in languages they don’t understand upsets them, but it is excellent practice for you
Try Rosetta Stone
Since the Russian langauge is based on the Cyrillic alphabet the best way to start would be to go on Google and type in "learn Russian alphabet". It’s extremely important that you learn the Russian alphabet as early as possible so that you are able to read and pronounce words later on.
Once you’ve learned this you could try picking up a good audio set like Pimsleur to learn the basics of the language. You could also try the website http://www.livemocha.com which has free online exercises for learning Russian and several other langauges. I’m learning French on this website right now and it works quite well. Plus the best part is that you can network with people from all around the world via the site, so you can find Russian friends you want to learn English and they can help you with your Russian.
Cheers!
