If you don’t mind spending the money check out the Pimsleur system. It teaches you one phrase broken down into syllables. You only have to listen and repeat for thirty minutes a day, but it really works. Amazon sells a 10 lesson trial for $15.99, but if you want to learn more than that you’ll have to either get a used copy from ebay or pay the big bucks for the actual from Pimsleur.
It should be a breeze, actually. I use to call the whole state ‘ The Peoples’ Republic Of Florida ‘. Wow that place really rots.

Go to the library and see if they have some Cd’s or call the nearest community college.
Good for you, take on that challenge!
Look up a native speaker that is local to you, or one that gives lessons over the internet via yahoo or msn messenger.
I highly recommend Tamara Antyukhova (russian_tutoring@yahoo.com), or look up another at the site in the reference box.
