speaking wise, i’d say Russian, but writing wise, i’d say Japanese, just because you need to learn Chinese (kanji) along with Hiragana and Katakana. But the Russian language has unorthodox uses of the tongue.
Japaneses on the other hand is easy to pronounce but it is very hard to get rid of the foreign accent (but then i guess that applies to just about every language)
well my girl learnt Japanese ..so it was pretty cool to learn
¡¡ they are just so …different,like….2 extremes,
But…just one thing is for sure — Russian is….rich and …complex,so….better – try!
to answer this question it would help to know what your exisiting languages are.
then take into account:
sentence structure: the language with the sentence structure closest to your own will be easier for you. (ie: how does the order go – Today shops went I…or…I went to the shops today?)
pronounciation: Japanese has a very simple and easy pronouncation formula. Learn the basic sounds and you will never get a word wrong pronounciation wise. However Americans have notoriously bad Japanese accents, whereas Japanese do say that Australians are very good. Is the language Phenotic? (ie: says how its spelt, or like english there are lots of tricks – like the k in know is silent)
grammar – again is the grammer similar to your mother tongue? Do they sex their words, change it depending on tense/distance/other topics in the sentence
these are all to be considered to get your answer.
i dont really know about russian, i just only know Gavrilla in russian (God is my streanght-my baby’s name) but japanese is quite difficult!
It depends who’s asking.
I’m a Slavic mother tongue speaker and to me Russian would be way less difficult to learn.
Someone from Korea or China will find Japanese easier definitely.
If you’re an English speaker, Russian would be easier to you too, because of the sign concept in Japanese, if nothing else.
i heard russian is really difficult to speak.
japanese is not so difficult to speak. writing is really complex and difficult.
